After winning a significant contract with Sydney Trains at the end of 2013, Adshel (Clear Channel Outdoor’s joint Australia/New Zealand OOH venture with APN) has just celebrated the switch-on of nearly half of their new digital interactive out-of-home network across the Australian city.

For the launch, Adshel partnered with Australian Radio Network (ARN) to ‘takeover’ Town Hall Station, promoting their Sydney radio station KIIS 1065 and breakfast show, ‘Kyle & Jackie O’. Complete with immersive wall and floor decals, the KIIS 1065 campaign will sit alongside campaigns from AHM, Air Asia, Oz Lotteries, HSBC, Channel 7 and Samsung.

The five year contract will see one of the largest roll outs of digital infrastructure in the Sydney outdoor market, with an extensive network of 186 screens planned across premium concourse precincts at key Sydney CBD railway stations, including Martin Place, Circular Quay, Wynyard, Town Hall and Central.

Campaigns will have the ability to engage through unique flexibility in scheduling, responding to day of the week, time of day and even topical triggers such as weather or news and sporting headlines.
Mobile engagement opportunities will be available across all premium sites and advertisers will have access to interactive measurement of a campaign, which will allow for testing of messages and content variation.

The new digital screens offer full animation, HD digital capabilities, augmented reality options alongside touch, gesture and mobile interaction, and leading-edge technologies designed specifically for the rail environment, allowing advertisers to unleash their creativity and enjoy deeper levels of consumer engagement with their content during the 1.4 million+ commuter journeys made across the network each day.

As well as the Sydney CBD railway stations, the Adshel contract will extend the breadth of the city’s suburban rail outdoor network and includes key terminals such as Bondi Junction, Parramatta, Strathfield, North Sydney, Chatswood, and Kings Cross.
