Teams from across CCI and our Outdoor colleagues in the US were invited by Clear Channel Media + Entertainment (CCM+E) to join them for the second annual iHeartRadio Music Festival in the self-proclaimed ‘entertainment capital of the world’, Las Vegas.
Accompanied by clients from media agencies and leading brands including Mediacom, Carat, Kinetic, Posterscope, Hyundai and Fox Media, the 50-strong Outdoor group were treated to an ecclectic and star studded line-up of some of the globe’s top music acts across the two-night festival. The truly global group included people from as far afield as Australia, Ireland, the Nederlands, Switzerland, the UK and the US.
Performers including Rihanna, Bon Jovi, P!nk, Usher, Taylor Swift, Ne-Yo, Aerosmith, Mary J Blige, No Doubt and Green Day took to the stage at the MGM Grand in front of a crowd of over 16,000 fans, VIPs, celebrity guests and competition winners.
It wasn’t all rock’n’roll however. The busy agenda also incorporated an iHeartOOH Conference. Rocky Sisson, Chief Revenue Officer, CCOA, introduced William Eccleshare, CEO of Clear Channel Outdoor, who spoke on the importance of and enduring impact of creativity. He was followed by Pru Parkinson, Sales & Marketing Director, CCI, who looked at why outdoor advertising continues to be a powerful and relevant medium and the positive impact it has on brands’ ability to reach their target audiences. This discussion then led to a topical interactive debate on the future of digital and raised the common need amongst media owners, agencies and brands, for an industry-standard audience measurement system.
Part of CCM+E’s network of radio stations across the US, iHeartRadio is a free, all-in-one digital internet radio service that lets listeners find more than 1,500 Live Stations or create their own customised, all-music stations from a catalogue of over 14 million songs and 400,000 artists.
